This integrated 45-minute session provides elementary school-age children and their families with the essential skills to navigate their commute safely. Combining hands-on bus training with interactive pedestrian practice, this comprehensive program ensures a confident start to the school year.

The Bus Experience: Families join their children for an engaging safety video and supervised school bus ride, learning the vital steps for boarding, riding and exiting the vehicle safely.
Pedestrian Training: Guided by an Ottawa Safety Council specialist, children practice crossing the street using a simulated crosswalk featuring realistic lights and sounds!
